The aim of our NSS is to promote National Integeration and the sense of social responsibility among students and help them to develop their personality. Our motto “Not me, but you” reflects the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for self-less service. The warmth of patriotism can be felt only when we think of the brave souls who fought for us and gave us an independent India. On behalf of this, the independence day events were held for the 1st and 2nd year students on 8th august 2019.
The aim of our NSS is to promote National integration and the sense of social responsibility, inculcate of discipline, dignity of labour and help the student to develop his total personality.Our motto “Not me, But you”reflects the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for self-less service. As a part of this, NSS guest lecture on Jal Shakthi Abhiyan was conducted. It greatly motivated the students.
Our NSS team aims to inculcate social welfare in students and provides service to society. Our motto “Not me, But you” reflects the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for self-less service. The inauguration camp of our NSS for the academic year 2019-2020 was organised at Marudhamalai temple on 13th July 2019. The event started at 8.30 am .The chief guest of the event was our honourable principal Dr.K.Prakasan. Around 130 students took part in the camp enthusiastically.
NSS gives a platform to serve the society and bring happiness and smile on many faces. So it’s not simply an association; it’s a reason to achieve our objective and carry on the endowment for the coming years. As a part of this, NSS unit wise meeting was conducted for three days. NSS unit wise meeting encircled orientation program and enrollment procedure for the second years for the academic session 2019-2020.
Our NSS conducted a guest lecture on “YOUNG GENERATION AND SOCIAL SERVICE” in order to spread awareness on importance of social service and the responsibilities of the young generation .Our chief guest was Mr.M.Ramasubramanian, Officer in charge of Indian Naval Distributing Academy. He said that it’s the duty of every individual to do service to the society and he also said that one has to have a satisfactory heart in order to live a peaceful life. One should never compare his or her life with others, one has to live their own life to make it meaningful. And in order to make the lives meaningful one has to live for others.
Our National Service Scheme had organised a temple cleaning camp at Perur Patteeswarar Swamy Alayam on 6th April 2019. Our NSS program officers Dr.R.Senthilkumar co-ordinated the camp.
Our NSS conducted a guest lecture on “MIYAWAKI METHOD OF TREE PLANTATION” in order to spread awareness on the importance of conservation of nature to the students .Our chief guest was Mr.P.Vincent from an NGO, an ECO awardee said that it’s the duty of every individual to conserve our nature . Several series of reports were also delivered to prove the fact that rainfall over a region depends on the number of trees present there, and not only that plantation of this miyawaki trees paves way for the the plantation of several others trees. Thus this will in turn help in the increase of rainfall
“The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it.” National Service Scheme has always aimed at developing a student’s personality through community service. It has never failed to uphold its motto “Not Me But You”. As a part of it and to spread the importance of Western Ghats, a guest lecture was organized on 28th January 2019 on the topic “Save Western Ghats Movement”. Around 100 volunteers enthusiastically took part in this guest lecture.
Our National Service Scheme aims at building students character through community service. Our NSS conducted a “voters rally” on 25th January 2019 in order to spread awareness on the importance of voting to the people.The rally began about 9.00am and ended about 9.45am in the morning. The rally was held around PSG College of Technology in Peelamedu.
Our National Service Scheme always motivated our students to do service to the society. In order to mark the importance of republic day, our NSS conducted a event named “PATRIOTZ” for our NSS volunteers.
“The end of all knowledge should be service to others” Our National Service Scheme aims at nurturing student’s attributes through service to the society. Our NSS conducts a seven day camp,“Sagaaptham” in five villages namely Thenponmudi, Bellapalayam, Therampalayam, Pattakaranur and Chennampalyam. On the seventh day of the camp valedictory function was held to mark the end of this aspiring seven day camp.
Our NSS conducted a seven day camp, “Sagaaptham” from 26th December 2018 to 1st January 2019. The sixth day of the camp started with several other works such as painting in Thenponmudi, miyawaki tree plantation in Thenponmudi, computer class for children in Bellapalayam etc.

Our NSS conducted a seven-day camp, “Sagaaptham” in five villages namely Thenponmudi, Bellapalayam, Therampalayam, Pattakaranur, and Chennampalyam.

Our NSS conducted a seven day camp named “Sagaaptham” for the five villages Thenponmudi, Bellapalayam, Therampalayam, Pattakaranur and Chennampalyam. On the third day of the camp, a veterinary camp was held to check the health status of the villagers’ cattle.
Our National Service Scheme organised a seven day camp, “Sagaaptham” at five villages namely Thenponmudi, Bellepalayam, Chennampalayam, Pattakaranur and Therampalayam. All the volunteers enthusiastically took part on the second day of seven day camp.
Our National Service Scheme has a motive of advancing a student’s personality through service to the society. Our NSS conducts a special seven day camp every year in the month of December. To mark the fiftieth year, seven day camp “Sagaaptham” for the academic year 2018-19 was held from 26th December to 1st January in five villages namely Thenponmudi, Bellapalayam, Therampalayam, Pattakaranur and Chennampalyam. The first day of the camp started with an inauguration function.
Our National Service Scheme organized a survey camp at five villages namely Thenponmudi, Bellepalayam, Chennampalayam, Pattakaranur and Therampalayam that are adopted for a period of three years by our NSS to work for the betterment of the selected villages. In a view to know about the needs of the villagers, a survey camp was conducted on 2nd December 2018. This camp was coordinated by our program officer, Dr.T.Vasanthi.

National Service Scheme has always aimed at developing student’s personality through community service. As a part of it and to spread the importance of unity, National Unity Day was celebrated on 31st October 2018, birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. This pristine day was celebrated along with a guest lecture on “Unity” which was witnessed by around 80 NSS volunteers.

“Only a life lived in the service to others is worth living” National Service Scheme has always aimed at developing student’s personality through community service.Our NSS conducted a guest lecture in order to spread awareness about the importance of voting among students.
This guest lecture was conducted in order to motivate the students on how to succeed in life and on the important qualities one must possess to shine in their lives.

In this regard to carry on the legacy and to do service to all the sections of society, our National Service Scheme had organised an orphanage camp for boys on 2nd September 2018.
Our National Service Scheme had always helped the students to lead a determined life by organising lectures for them. Thus one such guest lecture was organised by our National Service Scheme on the topic “challenges to changes” on 30th August 2018. Mr.S.P.Suresh Kumar, Associate Professor and HOD of department of English was the chief guest.

Our NSS program officers Dr.T.Vasanthi and Dr.C.Veeramani co-ordinated the camp.

Our National Service Scheme had organised several camps on independence day for the students which include primary school camp, high school camp, PSG Tech hostel camp and PSG polytechnic hostel camp.

NSS unit wise meeting encircled orientation program and enrollment procedure for the current second years and around 260 students have matriculated as NSS volunteers for the academic session 2018-2019.
