A Trust in the name of PSG & Sons’ Charities was created in 1926 in Peelamedu, Coimbatore with the purpose of empowering the youth through education. The four sons of Shri.P.S.Govindasamy Naidu Shri. PSG Venkataswamy Naidu, Shri.PSG Rangaswamy Naidu, Shri.PSG Ganga Naidu and Shri. PSG Narayanaswamy Naidu willingly and voluntarily divided their inherited ancestral properties into five parts, reserving the one-fifth portion to create the charity, which hence became their fifth sibling. The fifth brother has created over 30 educational institutions of repute ranging from Kindergarten to Doctoral Studies across Arts, Science, Engineering, Technology, Medical, Management, Research and many more in Coimbatore.
More than 30,000 students are studying at present in all these institutions. PSG college of Technology, a well known Engineering College in India, is one of these 30 institutions created by PSG & Sons Charities.

The best tribute that thousands of Alumni who graduated from PSG Institutions could give to Prof.GRD is to set up a Science & Technology Museum in association with PSG & Sons Charities to educate the future generation of young students, as well as the public about the role of Science and Technology in day to day life and for the development of the county, the sustainability of the environment and improve the quality of life. The proposed museum will focus on the heritage, the important milestones of the development of Science and Technology, the technologies for mobility, energy, sustainability, medicine, food, communication and Information Technology. The museum will have several interactive displays, working models and relevant exhibits on the focal areas.
PSG Tech Alumni Association and PSG Tech Alumni Foundation are taking a lead role in establishing this PSG GRD Museum for Science and Technology with the help of PSG & Sons Charities at PSGiTech campus, Neelambur
