About PSCGT
PSG College of Technology (PSG CT), founded in 1951 by PSG & Sons’ Charities, stands as an eminent institution in the field of education. It is an ISO 9001-2015 certified autonomous institution affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The college offers a diverse array of academic programs with 21 undergraduate and 24 postgraduate programs covering Engineering and Technology, Computer Applications, Management Sciences, Basic and Applied Sciences. Distinguished by its commitment to innovation and research, PSG CT houses several cutting-edge Centers of Excellence funded by MHRD, DST and other agencies. TIFAC Core, Advanced Machine Tool Research Centre, Virtual Instrumentation Centre, Centre of Excellence for Industrial and Home Textiles, Centre for Nano-technology, Centre for Robotics, Centre for Excellence in Artificial Intelligence and Software, Danfoss Centre of Excellence in Climate and Energy, and Centre of Excellence for Welding Engineering and Technology are a few to mention. In addition to its academic pursuits, PSG CT has a strong industrial presence. The PSG Industrial Institute operates manufacturing units for castings, machine tools, pumps, motors and technical textiles. About Department of Automobile Engineering

The department was established with an undergraduate programme in Automobile engineering in 1999.

The faculty of the department has published 200+ technical papers in various National and International conferences and journals from 1999. The department is well equipped with laboratories like PACE Lab, Vehicle Servicing Lab, PSG Motorsports Lab, Electric Hybrid Vehicle Lab, Engine Trouble Shooting Lab, Vehicle Performance and Characteristic Lab, Two & Three Wheeler Lab, Automotive Steering System Lab, Automotive Simulation Lab, Automotive Electronics Lab, CAD & CAE Lab, Fuel Cell Lab, Centre for Automotive Research and Testing Lab & Centre of Excellence - Industrial & Home Textiles lab. The software packages available in the department include Pro-E, Solidworks, Solid edge, NX, Siemens, CATIA, Unigraphics, ANSYS, ADAMS, LSDYNA for the faculty and aspiring students to pursue their research and project work. The upgraded facilities in the department include sensors, CVT, Automatic Transmission, etc. The department offers consultancy services in Chassis Design, Engine Design, FEA analysis, and CFD simulations. In the near future, the department aims to start Fuel Testing Laboratory, Advanced Automotive Electronics Laboratory, and a Research center for Alternate Fuels.

The department maintains a close liaison with a number of Universities and Industries in India and abroad through faculty research and collaborative projects.

ABOUT CU-ICAR
Founded in 2007, the Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research (CU-ICAR) is an advanced-technology research campus where education, research, and economic development collaborate to create a global venue for the automotive industry. CU-ICAR is home to the nation’s only graduate Department of Automotive Engineering. Here, over 200 Clemson University students are pursuing Master of Science and/or Ph.D. degrees in Automotive Engineering. Thanks to the work of our world-class faculty, our graduate students learn in an innovative research-and-educational program that focuses on the vehicle and its infrastructure from a systems-integration perspective. Our entire program is devoted to the discipline of automotive engineering.
