About Controller of Examinations
The office of the controller of examinations plays a vital role in the academic activities of the college and is an important part of the autonomy.It is headed by the Controller of Examinations (CoE), who reports directly to the Head of the Institution, and is supported by the Deputy Controller of Examinations along with a dedicated team of staff members.
The core responsibility of the office is to plan and conduct all examinations in a fair and systematic manner in accordance with the academic calendar prepared at the beginning of every academic year. This office plays a crucial role in upholding the integrity, transparency, and academic standards of the examination and evaluation process.Through continuous improvement and adherence to best practices, this office enhances the quality of examination services, thereby fostering academic excellence and institutional credibility.

- As per regulations, candidates may submit a request to Dean Academic to grant permission to withdraw the examination and the candidate may be granted withdrawal subject to satisfying the conditions prescribed in the regulations.
- Candidates to whom withdrawal is granted, the next attempt for writing the examination in the particular course is considered as a first attempt. This facility can be availed only one time during the entire programme.

The list of courses for which the candidate has to re appear will be listed in the candidates registration portal. The candidates can register for the courses for which he / she is willing to appear for examinations and pay the fees in college account section.
You will be permitted to write the examination only for the courses listed in the registration portal. However, if any course is not listed the candidate has to bring it to the knowledge of the Office of Controller of Examinations immediately.
The last date for paying Reappearance Examination Fee will be notified in the Reappearance Examination Circular.
Under CBCS, it is possible. You can pay fees only for the courses registered in candidate registration portal. If you do not register for Reappearance courses, you need not pay reappearance courses exam fees.
After completing the CBCS registration at the beginning of each semester, the examination fees for current semester regular courses and for reappearance courses upto previous semester to be paid by each candidate is calculated and moved to the database by CoE office. The candidate will pay the full amount for the registered current semester courses and Reappearance courses (if any) at the time of paying current semester tuition fees.
At the time of publication of results, a notification is issued in which the last date to apply for the next semester examination will be indicated. Candidates may download blank application in college website, fill-in the courses for which he/she is willing to appear for, pay fees either in college office by cash or by DD drawn in the name of “The Principal, PSG College of Technology” and submit the application to CoE office along with fee receipt/DD in person or by post within the last date prescribed.
A notification will be issued by CoE office in College website whenever the special permissions are given by University to Time Limit Exceeded candidates to apply for the special examination. The candidates can download blank application in college website, fill-in the courses for which he/she is willing to appear for, pay fees either in college office by cash or by DD drawn in the name of “The Principal, PSG College of Technology” and submit the application to CoE office along with fee receipt/DD in person or by post within the last date prescribed.
If you do not bring Identity card, application for issuing temporary Identification Certificate can be obtained from Chief Superintendent before the commencement of examination in a session and on submitting the filled-in application, temporary permission will be granted for writing exam in that session. You are advised to apply for duplicate Identity card immediately to Academic section if it was lost.
The Reappearance Lab Examinations will be held during study holidays i.e. After last CA test but before the commencement of the Semester Examinations.
The Week end/Reappearance Examination results will be declared along with the next regular examination results.
No, it is not possible to change date of examination once it is announced.
You should contact Office of Controller of Examination immediately. They will check and inform the reason and rectify the defect if any.
Yes, there is a possibility due to unavoidable circumstances. Therefore please ensure that you recheck your exam timetable on a regular basis and immediately prior to your examination(s).Any change in examination date will be intimated well in advance to the candidates.
Candidates are not allowed to enter the examination hall once the examination is commenced. Candidates arriving after the start of the examination are required to take permission from Chief Superintendent / Controller of Examinations. And they have to understand that they are not entitled to any additional time.
You will be marked as “ABSENT” for the exam and you cannot make a request for re-exam in any circumstance.
You will be booked under malpractice but will be allowed to continue the examination. See malpractice guidelines on the examination website.
Any time between 9.00 am to 4.30 pm (Excluding 12.45 to 1.30 pm) on any working day.
Seating Arrangement for Semester Examinations can be viewed about Two days before the commencement of examinations in the website “ecampus.psgtech.ac.in”. It will not be displayed in the Notice boards. Seating arrangement for semester examination can also be viewed through the systems available at Media Lab by scanning the ID cards on the date and session of the examination.
Yes. Seating arrangement for weekend reappearance examinations can be viewed only on the date and session of the examination by scanning the ID cards near the examination Hall. Scanning the ID cards on the date and session of reappearance examination is compulsory as attendance will be considered based on scanning the ID cards only.
Candidates are eligible to apply for Revaluation / Retotalling only for theory courses.
Not necessary. The candidates may apply for Retotalling first and after seeing the paper they may apply for Revaluation if willing or they may apply for Revaluation directly.
A circular relating to applying for Revaluation/Retotalling will be released in College Website immediately after the declaration of results. Candidate may apply for Revaluation/Retotalling only after the release of the circular.
Candidates can apply for revaluation/retotalling only by online through ecampus.psgtech.ac.in/studzone2 from their individual login after the release of retotalling / revaluation circular. They shall follow the steps clearly given in the opening page under “How to apply for revaluation” after login.
The candidates shall login in his/her ID, select courses to be applied for, confirm selection, download application, pay fees in account section and submit application with fee receipt to CoE office in person before last date.
External candidates can also apply for revaluation / retotalling through ecampus.psgtech.ac.in/studzone2 from their individual login after the release of retotalling / revaluation circular.
Yes. The candidates can apply for Revaluation / Retotalling for the reappearance theory courses also.
No. The candidates are not eligible to apply for Revaluation / Retotalling for any other type of courses (including Practical courses) except theory courses.
The Revaluation / Retotalling fee per paper will be notified in the Revaluation circular. The present fee is Rs.500/- per course for Revaluation and Rs.100/- for Retotalling.
The last date for applying for Revaluation will be notified in the Revaluation circular. Normally it will be Five days from the date of publication of results.
The Revaluation results will be declared normally within three weeks from the last date for applying for revaluation.
Yes. The DD shall be drawn in the name of “The Principal, PSG College of Technology”. The downloaded filled-in application with DD shall reach the CoE office before last date.
The Grade sheet for Regular final semester exam will normally be issued within 30 days from the date of declaring the results. Grade sheet for others and Reappearance candidates will be issued about 2 months after reopening of the college.
Normally within one month from the date of publication of results.
First semester candidates are advised to verify whether the name had been printed correctly in the I semester grade sheet and if any correction is required, report to Academic section immediately in writing. If Name correction is brought to the notice of Controller of Examinations later, the candidate has to pay Rs.500/- per Grade sheet for issuing new Grade sheet with necessary correction. The Candidate shall contact Office of Controller of Examinations for obtaining New Grade sheet.

Candidates shall visit the website https://psgtech.directverify.in and fill in all the details required, upload clear photocopies of all certificates to be attested and copy of filled in forms like WES IQAS and pay the fees by online. The CoE office will download the certificates, verify, print required number of copies of them, attest the same and despatch them in sealed covers through courier to the address furnished by the candidate. Candidate will have the tracking facility for the cover sent by CoE office. The fee payable at present is at Rs.300/- per set and actual courier charges.

The CoE office will attest the certificates and send the closed covers of transcripts to the students in the self addressed stamped envelope by post.
By In person mode:
Candidates can apply for transcripts by submitting the required number of Photocopies of the grade sheets to CoE office either in person or through a messenger or send the required number
of sets of Photocopies of grade sheets by post addressed to the “The Controller of Examinations, PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore – 641 004, Tamil Nadu”.
Copies of grade sheets taken in colour photo copiers are not accepted.
The fee for issuing transcript is Rs.500/- per set. The Transcripts, after attestation, will be placed in sealed covers and handed over in person to the candidate/messenger.
The fee can be paid by cash in the account section of the College or in the form of drawn in favour of “The Principal, PSG College of Technology” payable at Coimbatore which shall be send along with the photocopies of grade sheets Cheques will not be accepted.
