+436769296348 Advanced Technology Engineer, GE Healthcare Programming, Research, Communication, Leadership and Management. My final year BE project is in the field of computer vision and machine learning. To strengthen my knowledge, I pursued my Master and PhD study specializing in the same field but applying the concepts to biomedical images. This helped to shape my career in medical image analysis and machine learning. One key specialty about my work experience, in BE I worked on 1D and 2D images, in masters on high-field 3D MRI images, in PhD on CT and CBCT 3D images, and now on 2D and 3D Ultrasound images.

9900181304 PwC Proactiveness and Individualism that PSG inculcates during the UG programs has helped me in every stage of my career to get ahead. These skills are always welcome in workplace as it made me constantly learn anything new in the business as well as technology areas. My career has offered me a lot of learnings so far, made me travel whole of south India, 20 countries and work both on core engineering (ECE) as well as business aspects across the world. Working with varied people with diverse cultures has been rewarding and has helped me view situations from multiple perspectives. PSG has inculcated the habit of absorbing varied views and fast moving ideas right from their foundation courses during the first year of engineering where, its not about engineering

+94720296534 The Academy of Design, Colombo, Sri Lanka PSG taught me a lot of inter-personal skills, and the teachers in PSG inspired me on the relationship I maintain with my students today. The level of preparedness of my teachers in PSG was particularly inspirational for me. The degree gave me a lot of analytical thinking skills, which helps me solve problems much faster than my peers. The level of professionalism we were taught there also helped me stay on top of all my paperwork in my job and be more organised as a teacher. After completing my degree in PSG, I moved to Texas to do my MS in Computer Science, majoring in computer graphics. I was drawn towards the artistic side of computer graphics, and went on to study 3D Animation and Visual Effects from Vancouver Film School. Then I worked on a number of feature films in the animation / vfx department, and moved towards the academic side of animation. So, I have been teaching animation, visual effects and film for a while now. Presently, I am the Head of the Animation Department and the Programme Leader for the BA (Hons) in Motion Graphics and Animation programme at The Academy of Design - a partner institution of Northumbria University (UK).

Banumathy S.
B.Sc.
2004
9344367922 PSG College of Technology Basics on apparel production After B.Sc in PSG tech, I joined M.Sc in Fashion technology and Management in Bangalore University. Both the curriculum was a mixture of Apparel production, designing and retailing. So I had knowledge not in only one area but all the three areas. After my post graduation I worked as Quality auditor in apparel export industry in Bangalore. For a graduate in apparel, Bangalore was a very nice place to work, in terms of skill utilization, learning and job satisfaction. All the Apparel industries in bangalore are very neatly organised.Tirupur is not the place for a apparel graduate to work, they can start their own company, but do not attempt to work there. the industries are not organised, your graduation will not be used in tirupur.Bangalore is a great place for learning and growth. Then I Joined a company in chennai as Retail merchandiser. The job was really good. In this job I had too many learnings and I and too many queries which made me join research. I took up full time PhD. Later I joined PSG tech as an Assistant Professor.I wanted to share all the knowledge I gained from the industry. I would like to conclude by saying that a degree in Fashion Design has lot of scope within and outside India. Students should be ready to tap the opportunity travel, and learn new things.

0919791090692 General Manager, Corporate Planning, Rane (Madras) Ltd. On the social front, being from a big city environment, my experience at PSG gave me a first hand view about the strength of cities such as Coimbatore in terms of the engineering industries and talent. I also learnt to collaborate with classmates and learn from their experiences and perspectives. On the academic front, I learnt that being an engineer means being adaptable to rapidly changing situations. To me being an engineer is more about having problem-solving mindset rather than just a set of tangible skills, and I learnt to develop this mindset through the time that I spent at PSG. I have worked for about 2 years in India and 3 years in the US. After starting my career as a quality engineer in an automotive ancillary in India, I completed my Masters in Industrial Engineering

In 2016, I left to pursue my MBA and I am now back in India (since Sept 2017) in a Corporate Strategy role in the auto component industry. Through my career so far, the important lessons I have learnt are 1. Stay humble and be willing to learn. Always. 2. In any role or function, think of what skills/leadership traits you can take away ( learn) and what improvements you can leave behind in the role ( legacy). 3. Develop your communication skills because this forms the foundation of being a great leader.
